New balance made only 44-pairs of 3D-printed shoes for $400!

Late last year, New Balance announced it was working on a limited edition sneaker with a 3D-printed midsole, which would be released sometime this April. Well it's April, and that sneaker, called the Zante Generate, will be available to purchase this week. Buying a pair won't be that easy though, because New Balance is only making 44 pairs, and you'll need a cool $400 to snag one of them. “New Balance is at the forefront of 3D printing and has been utilizing this exciting and innovative technology to customize product for our athletes for a number of years,” says New Balance President and CEO Robert DeMartini. “Our unique position as both a manufacturer and retailer allows us to bring the world’s first 3D printed running midsole to market. SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket shows up SpaceX hard-work.

The unprecedented feat caps years of work by Elon Musk’s space company and follows a successful ground landing of a returning Falcon rocket in December.  Four previous attempts to land the rocket’s first stage on the ocean platform had failed. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket soared off its seaside launch pad in Florida on Friday, then turned around a minutes later and settled itself on a platform floating in the ocean. “We have a Falcon 9 aboard,” a crewman aboard the recovery ship radioed to SpaceX Mission Control. A live video of the landing, broadcast on NASA TV, showed the Falcon first-stage descending vertically through clear skies then slowing, with its four landing legs extended, and gently settling itself down on the platform. A minute later, the Dragon cargo ship that the rocket had boosted toward space separated from the Falcon’s upper stage and began a 2.5 day trip to the International Space Station. Samsung will launch it's foldable phone in 2017.

We already know that Samsung is working on a foldable phone (internally dubbed Project Valley), and we've also seen some possible designs. Last we heard, there were rumors of it launching in January this year - that obviously didn't happen. Now, it looks like the device won't be coming this year. A new report from Samsung's home country of South Korea is claiming that the company will start mass-producing foldable displays by end of this year, with foldable smartphones arriving next year. Numerous reports over the years have suggested that Samsung is working on a foldable smartphone. In fact, the company even has a patent that describes how it might be able to achieve such a feat. And we don’t mean a smartphone like the Kyocera Echo, which was more of a Nintendo 3DS-style device, but a device that actually folds. If you find yourself tapping your hand to a beat while sitting at your desk, in the car or on park bench, a high-tech glove might be just the gadget to help you turn the tunes in your head into music you can record. The glove, called the Remidi T8 wearable instrument, is loaded with pressure-sensitive sensors along the fingerprints and palm. Its wristband controls how the combination of sounds from each sensor are translated as a user moves his or her hand according to Remedi. Remidi company started a Kickstarter campaign 13 days before for this glove and surpassed $100,000 and can be seen on Kickstarter homepage. The glove aims to be a very intuitive device for music artists, enthusiasts and disc jockeys to use, according to the company. Yes you heard it right. The technology named "Li-Fi" is 100 times faster than Wi-Fi. Light Fidelity(Li-Fi) is a bidirectional, high speed and fully networked wireless communication technology similar to Wi-Fi. The term was coined by Harald Haas and is a form of visible light communications and a subset of optical wireless communication (OWC) and could be a complement to RF communication (Wi-Fi or Cellular network), or even a replacement in contexts of data broadcasting. It is so far measured to be about 100 times faster than some Wi-Fi implementations, reaching speeds of 224 gigabits per second.
