Motorola Moto X (2016) : Specs Leaks !

It was previously rumored that Motorola's premium offering, the Moto X will have metal uni-body this year. It also had an protruding camera module with "flat tire" cut-out. It surely seemed quite different.

Now, according to new leaks there are going to be two variants this year too, one the successor of Moto X Style and other the successor of the Moto X Play.

 

One on the right is code-named Vector Thin, successor of Moto X Style and other on left is code-named Vertex, successor of Moto X Play.

Vector Thin is going to be insanely thin, nearly around 5.2mm . It will have 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (under-clocked version to reduce heating issues), 3-4 Gigs of RAM, 32 GB of onboard storage, 13MP rear camera with laser auto-focus and OIS and a 2600mAh battery.

Vertex will have a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (over-clocked), 2GB/ 16GB or 3GB/ 32GB configaration of RAM and Storage, 16 MP camera with laser and phase detection auto-focus and 3500mAh battery. Vertex will be 7mm thick.

Further more, Both will come with modular accessories or as Motorola saying the 'amps'. They will connect via 16 pin connector which can be seen in above renders. At launch amps will include Stereo speakers, a battery pack, camera grip with flash and optical zoom, a pico projector, a rugged cover with wide lens attachment. All of the above will be made by Motorola and 3rd party will offers further more. In box each Moto X will be shipped with one back plate.

Also this connector now explains the protruding camera setup. when backplate attached camera will sit flush with body, pretty neat.
