Lenovo Thinkpad Line-up is one of the best business class laptops of the year. They combine sleek looks with latest ultrabook grade internals in a heavy duty chassis. The X1 series is the flagship line-up by Lenovo. In past also products from this line-up have gone head-to-head with the best ultrabooks in market.  This year Lenovo introduced Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad X1 Yoga. I also wrote about ThinkPad X1 Carbon which you can check ‘here’.

The Yoga suffix in the name states it is a convertible notebook, can do 360 (;)). It also follows same design language as ThinkPad X1 Carbon. In fact its quite difficult to tell them apart when kept side by side. The ThinkPad X1 yoga also has same Matte black finish body with that amazing iconic ThinkPad logo along with that of Lenovo. Also, ThinkPad X1 Yoga weighs just 2.877 lbs , making it lightest 14 incher in market. Thin(0.66”), Light(2.877 lbs) and Tough( !).
ThinkPad X1 yoga features same keyboard as that of its sibling X1 Carbon. Amazing keyboard with just right amount of key travel. Keyboard is back-lit. Trackpad is quite good when compared to competitors. ThinkPad X1 Yoga also  features TrackPointer with three clickable buttons, as it should have as ThinkPad design-language dictates. Also ThinkPad X1 Yoga comes with a Stylus. So you can do Stylus oriented work too. Stylus has its own dedicated Dockable slot.

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga offers three screen variants 14” FHD IPS touch variant, 14” WQHD IPS touch variant and 14”  WQHD OLED variant. WQHD variant should reach pixel density of 210 ppi which is sufficient for display of this size. OLED version obviously produce deeper blacks and infinite contrast ratio.

Now on Performance. ThinkPad X1 Yoga packs Intel core i7-6500U with vPro(!), Upto 16GB of DDR3 Ram , integrated Intel HD graphics and upto 1TB SSD options. I7-6500U is best U CPU available in market now, so you are definitely going to get good performance. U in the name says its Ultra Low Power consuming CPU which means extended battery life with a slight hie on performance. With upto 16 gigs of RAM, every application should run smoothly. A beast on-the-go.

On connectivity side, X1 Yoga has 3 x USB 3.0, Mini display port ,couple WLAN variants, Bluetooth 4.1, MicroSD card reader, HDMI, ONELink+ . and a Finger-Print reader. Further X1 Yoga also supports a wide range of ThinkPad peripherals . Some of them are:
- ThinkPad X1 Ultra Sleeve
-ThinkPad X1 Wireless Touch Mouse
-ThinkPad WiGig Dock
-OneLink+ Dock

So all-in-all X1 Yoga is a amazing on-the-go convertible with awesome specs in a classy durable body. It can easily go head-to-head with other top players and give them tough competition.
