RAZER BLADE STEALTH
Razer blade stealth is first ultrabook from the house of RAZER. Razer, known primarily for its gaming-focused products have given its view how Razer sees an ultrabook. Blade stealth is a 12.5” ultrabook packing a 6th gen i7-6500U ,8 GB of RAM, upto 512 GB of SSD, signature Anti-Ghosting Chroma keyboard in just .52” thick stealthy black CNC aluminium chassis with support for Razer core(More on that later). It is the most powerful and one of the most beautiful ultrabook.
Razer Blade Stealth is surely a head-turner. It features a black CNC aluminium Chassis with Razer logo glowing in centre. It surely makes it a stand-out from completion as most of other offers silver-ish finish only. Inside it has an 12.5” IGZO coated touch enabled screen with 2K and 4K variants. Razer claims 70% adobeRGB on 2K variant and 100% on 4K one , damn colour accurate. Screen on Blade Stealth is stunning, wide viewing angles with nice colour accuracy. One thing though, IT has Big bezels. Way big when compared to that of XPS 13. In my opinion, Bezels on Blade Stealth were made big so that Better sized keyboard can be offered to consumers (maybe?).
Further Razer Blade Stealth has Anti-ghosting Chroma keyboard, every single key on keyboard can be configured to up to 16.8 million colour (!). It can be done using Synapse software. Key remapping and preset macros are also on-board. Key travel is less in this keyboard. Trackpad on Blade Stealth is good.
Under-the-hood Razer Blade Stealth packs Intel core i7-6500U CPU, integrated Intel HD 520 GPU, 8 gigs of RAM, up to 512GB of Storage options. It is a performer. It can easily handle day-to-day with ease. Performance is on par with other ultrabooks. CPU has U in its name representing is a Ultra Low Power consuming CPU, definitely an upper for battery-life. A word on battery life, it is low when compared to competition.
On connectivity, Razer Blade Stealth has one USB 3.1(type-C), 2 x USB 3.0 and HDMI port. Via, Type-C Razer can connect to Razer Core , External Graphics amplifier by Razer. Razer core is a graphic dock which can occupy any two desktop graphics card of your choice. ( Also see X-connect ). When connected with Core Razer Blade Stealth is a perfect gaming machine.
Lastly, Razer blade starts at $999, for which you can get Intel i7-6500U , 8GB of RAM , 128 GB of SSD and 2K display. For same price most of the other manufacturers give i5 only in processor side and an FHD display. For full spec-ed up model, i.e. 4K display and 521 GB of RAM you pay $1399. At $999, Blade Stealth is the best ultrabook one can get.
